Early years…

On an easel larger than they were at the time, Kate began painting and drawing at the age they could first hold a brush. Between afterschool elementary art classes and college-level drawing courses, their art practice includes several mediums: acrylic, watercolor, oil, charcoal, soft pastel, colored pencil, and graphic art. In middle school they began a 2-decade ongoing fascination with Photoshop after they used it to draw the original characters of their peers, to bring their friends’ and classmates’ imaginations to illustration.
